What is Biometric Authentication?
You may be able to use biometric authentication features available on a compatible device, such as facial recognition or fingerprint authentication, to access Online Services or authorize certain actions.
How does it work?
When you use a biometric authentication feature provided by your device or operating system, such as Face ID, Touch ID, or Windows Hello, the biometric verification is performed by your device or operating system.
Where applicable, we receive confirmation that the authentication was successful, rather than the biometric information used by your device to verify your identity.
When can Biometric Authentication be used?
Biometric authentication may be available for certain devices, services, or actions. Depending on the features available to you, you may use it to sign in to Online Services or authorize certain actions.
You may be able to enable or disable this option through Settings or your device settings, as applicable.
